Global Package recently piloted another gorgeous pewter-adhesive label into industry stardom: the new label for Napa Valley’s Hailstone Vineyard’s release of its two Cabernet Sauvignons, the “32 Degree” Sauvignon Blanc, and “Weather Dancer” dry Rosé Sauvignon Blanc,

“This pewter label is extraordinary for its depth and detail, an iconic embrace pf founder Chris Zazo’s passion for food, wine, and the weather,” says Global Package founder and CEO Erica Harrop. “His background as a chef and top-soil specialist brings a unique perspective to his wines, which is beautifully conveyed in the new pewter label.”

Another pewter-adhesive label that Global Package ushered through production is for Dry Creek’s 50th Anniversary Sparkling Chenin Blanc. Designed by the Austin Design Group and handmade with Global Package in France – the luxurious label is an homage to Dry Creek’s Loire Valley-inspired founding in 1972 and features nods to its nautical history, including motifs of a sailboat, flags, and rope.

Established in 1972 by David Stare, Dry Creek Vineyard is its flagship winery, in the heart of Sonoma County. According to its website, “…the 2019 50th Anniversary Sparkling Chenin Blanc was handcrafted in the méthode champenoise tradition with a blend of 87% Chenin Blanc and 13% Cabernet Franc.”

“Dry Creek is one of the few remaining private, family-owned wineries and one that consistently produces 90+ point wines,” says Harrop. “It’s a true privilege to work with this team!”

Global Package has a long-standing working partnership with Etiq’Etains, which provides clients with a full range of cutting shapes, from patterns in full labels to neck wraps and cork tops. They are lead-free, easily applied, and are available in sheets for smaller orders and rolls for larger wineries.

The pewter labels are offered in three distinct categories—Natural (silver), Luxury (gold, bronze, copper), and Modern (many colors, including blue, red, yellow, green, brown, black)—and each brings its own attributes to amplify a wine’s brand. For example, the ‘Natural’ labels impart a feeling of tradition and substance, ‘Luxury’ labels convey elegance and exclusivity, while labels in the ‘Modern’ category channel playfulness and vitality.

“Pewter labels are an incredible asset to brands,’” Harrop says. “They impress consumers with their uniqueness. They’re great show-offs, signifying high-quality, yet contemporary relevance.”
