Available Stock Jarres, Barrels, Puncheons, and Oak Alternatives for Harvest 2022
Bouchard Cooperages, which has been supplying the North American wine industry for over 40 years, would like to announce the availability of stock sandstone jarres from Vin et Terre, barrels, and puncheons from its family of coopers that includes Billon, Damy, Maury, European Coopers, Hungary, and oak barrel alternatives from Canadell for harvest 2022. Products are currently available from Bouchard Cooperages’ Napa California and other North American warehouses and can be delivered in time for harvest 2022.
Vin et Terre sandstone jarres:
Bordeaux based Vin et Terre’s llow porosity (2%) jarres makes them ideal for fermenting and aging aromatic and textural whites as well as elegant, lifted bright reds. The different fluid dynamic characteristics of the Zen, Coralie and Ovo Couché jarres promote more or less movement and therefore texture in the finished wine. The stainless steel lids, valves, sample port and stand make them very winemaker friendly and easy to use in the cellar.

Billon, Damy, Maury and European Coopers Hungary barrels and puncheons:
The available stock of Burgundy, Bordeaux and Hungarian cooperage spans a wide array of different specs that include: grain tightness, forest origin, innovation series, light to heavy toasts (and anything in between), fire or steam bent and French or Hungarian oak selections.
These barrels and puncheons are already available for delivery and the benefit of having barrels and puncheons from different regional coopers suited for white, lighter red and bolder red varietals means Bouchard Cooperages’ portfolio can cater to your different winemaking needs.

Canadell French oak barrel alternatives:
Canadell, located in Southern France oak alternatives line includes convection, fire and untoasted products. Their toasted and untoasted chips work best during fermentation and short aging while their dominoes, bung inserts and tank staves showcase qualities of French oak remarkably similar to barrel aging.
